Trained in Beijing, Toronto and Germany by some of the best flutists in the world, Jiajia’s approach to teaching is to not only pass down the skills and traditions, but also teach students how to appreciate music and to make it part of their lives.
Jiajia teaches at Mount Royal University Conservatory in Calgary Alberta, and her studio of students brings her much joy!
Workshop for composition students at Xinghai Conservatory of Music
Jiajia gives master classes, conducts different workshops including interactive workshops for young composers, and also teaches in clinics across the province.
Jiajia also directs a youth ensemble under Calgary Chinese Orchestra, which is comprised of children aged from 8-14 with a variety of Chinese instruments.
